These terms govern your use of Hearthside: Cozy Cooking Pet ("Hearthside", "the app"), made by James Napolitano ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you got the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licensed application terms also apply.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Hearthside on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store terms.
Some features require Hearthside Plus, available as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple account and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks Plus features for the life of the app. Payments are handled by Apple; refund requests go through Apple.
Dish facts, hearth secrets, and other written content in Hearthside are provided for entertainment. They are not nutritional, dietary, or medical advice. The photo identification feature makes a best guess at what a dish is and can be wrong; it does not verify ingredients, allergens, or food safety, and you should not rely on it for any of those purposes.
You agree not to reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law, not to abuse or attempt to disrupt the dish identification service, and not to use the app in violation of any applicable law.
The app, including its artwork, characters, text, and code, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. These terms do not grant you any rights in the app other than the license above.
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app, including the dish identification service, at any time. Free-tier limits on certain features may change. We will not remove features you have paid for without providing reasonable equivalent value where required by law.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
These terms remain in effect while you use the app. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these terms. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
